Core Facilities

Electron Microscopy Service

Boulder Electron Microscopy Service is a full service facility offering conventional, tomographic, and cryo electron microscopy expertise.

Flow Cytometry Facility

Our cell sorter and ADP analyzer.

Functional Genomics Facility

The Functional Genomics Facility is a non-profit service center funded by a consortium of the Colorado initiative in Molecular Biotechnology (CIMB), the University of Colorado Cancer center (UCCC), the Department of Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology (MCDB), the Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI) and the Espinosa lab.

GE Typhoon Scanner

Recently added to MCDB, the GE Typhoon Scanner is open to all and offers high resolution fluorescense, phosphorimaging, and densitomtry scanning.

Light Microscopy Core

The mission of the Light Microscopy Core Facility (LMCF) is to provide labs from the University of Colorado and the surroundings community with access and support to advanced imaging research instrumentation.

Office of Animal Resources

The MCDB Transgenics Facility has undergone a lot of changes. The Office of Animal Resources has taken over responsibility for all transgenic facility operations.
